HicksPro started as an IT Staffing firm in 1979 and became a certified Disabled
Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
(SDVOSB) in 2008 when second generation President and combat decorated former
Navy SEAL Darren Hicks stepped up to lead the company. Over the years, Hicks Pro has
expanded offerings to include a wide range of talent services for federal, state and
commercial clients. Helping veterans find great career opportunities has been a passion
of Darren’s since he left the military in 2006. Frustrated by what he was seeing in the
marketplace with great companies wanting to hire veterans yet not being able to easily find
them, Darren decided to start a new line of the business. In early 2013, Hicks Pro launched
a dedicated Military Veteran Hiring Program that was an immediate success and continues
to grow at a rapid pace.
