Minimum Job Requirements:
  • High School Education/GED Required
 
Conditions of Employment:
  • Must pass a drug screen test.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check (No Sexual or Burglary offenses will be accepted.)
  • Must have transportation to and from work.
  • Must have cell phone.
  • Obtain a valid drivers license
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must adhere to opening and closing procedures; keeping the truck clean at all times.
  • Professionally communicate with customers and set proper expectations of their move.
  • Provide above and beyond customer service at all times.
  • Must be on time to work everyday.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Be responsible for handling and receiving payment from customers.
  • Ability to calculate and estimate a move for customers.
  • Ability to properly load and unload a 26 ft box truck.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble furniture for residential and commercial accounts.
  • Needs to be able to lift heavy objects daily.
  • Knowledge on how to pad, wrap, pack, and move heavy furniture without damages.
  • Able to work out of state and long distance moves.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment when moving (i.e. dollies, appliance dollies, four wheel dollies).
  • Know how to move specialty items (i.e. piano, safe, grandfather clock, exercise equipment, cubicles, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to lead and train new movers.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work long hours, and have organizational skills.
  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
