Job Summary Reliance Construction Company  located in  Wake Forest, NC  is seeking a  Project Coordinator  to assist the Operations Manager with: preparing and executing contract documentation and requirements; writing and assembling proposals; project management support; accounts receivable; liaison with project employees, subcontractors and customers; general office duties; security clearance requirements; and employee training. This will be a full time position where the hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm including a half hour break. This is an “at will” position. The candidate for this position is required to be very computer literate and detail orientated, possess good typing, spelling and grammatical skills. Advanced-level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a must. Experience with other Microsoft products and Adobe PDFs are preferred, as would prior experience within the industry. Reliance Construction Company  is seeking a  Site Superintend/Quality Control Manager/Site Safety Health Officer to assist in the implementation of contracts for federal agency clients.  Most of the projects that you may be working on will require only one person to fill the three previously mentioned positions. The location for this position will be at military bases in and around the Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Richmond areas.  Currently we have multiple projects at JEB Little Creek/Ft Story and Ft AP Hill.  This will be a part time position where we will require service on an as needed basis.  The length of time that service will be needed will be project specific but typically this will be 3-12 weeks.  As most of our current projects are in the Virginia Beach area, being a resident of the area will be preferred.  There may also be a necessity to travel to other sites outside of the VA Beach area as needed. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of five years in the construction industry, hold a Contractors Quality Control Certification issued by either NAVFAC or USACE, an OSHA 30 Certification and First Aid/ CPR certificates.  Experience working on federal military contracts would also be received well. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe PDF is also desirable, and internet access is required. This position will require someone who is stable, reliable, self-motivated, and ready to be challenged in a busy environment. They must be able work without direct day to day supervision while completing the work at hand. They must be able to read and execute contract specifications and plans.  They must be able to communicate well as you will be working directly with the government personnel at the work sites.  You will receive project direction from the Operations Manager at Reliance and you will be provided back office support from our administration staff. As Superintendent, you will drive onsite work performed by subcontractors to ensure that the schedule is adhered to.  You will plan the onsite work to ensure that materials and personnel are in place at the correct time and performing the correct work.  You will identify any issues and communicate with the Operations Manager for solutions. You will prepare daily production reports and attend meetings as required. As Quality Control Manager, you will instigate the three phases of control method of quality control, as required by the contract.  You will ensure that the approved materials are installed in the correct manner, and witness and record testing of installed products.  You will prepare daily Quality Control Reports. As the Site Safety Health Officer, you will ensure that the work is conducted in a safe manner, and in compliance with OSHA and EM385-1-1 requirements. You will conduct daily safety meetings to ensure that all personnel onsite understand and conform to the requirements.  You will prepare necessary safety reports.  Reliance is a federal contractor working on secure military bases, as such, all of our staff are subjected to background checks and verification for the ability to be employed in the U.S as well as attain entry onto federal facilities.
