Job Title: Storage Facility Manager / Asst. Manager
Working Hours: 40 hours a week / Part time
Summary:
The Storage Facility Manager is an energetic, professional, outgoing self-starter who has excellent sales skills, and a team player who works well with others. Superb marketing and customer service skills above average. He/she aggressively contributes to profitability by developing and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships and being committed to customer satisfaction. The manager pays close attention to detail and has light bookkeeping and computer skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
He or she will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the storage. Employee must keeping the facility rented at optimum levels by effectively advertizing the storage facility as well as demonstrating good customer service.
Employee must all so actively sell and maintain supplies of merchandise. Providing outstanding customer service includes but not limited to having problem solving skills such as assessing and resolving customer issues in a professional manner while also keeping a good attitude. Other customer services include professionally handling telephone calls and walk-in inquiries. Another task is for the worker to visually inspects the facility daily, make observations and respond promptly to handling any situation and/ or advising management.
General management of the office requires time management this includes opening the office on time and then closing the office once all tasks are done at the end of the day. He or she must have good organizational skills to maintain all required tenant documentation in a neat and orderly manner as directed by management. The Manager must also be able to controlling delinquencies by telephone contact and letters on a scheduled basis including sending out monthly invoices. Maintaining accuracy of the Petty Cash, make daily bank deposits and preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by management. Assist in preparing units for auction, vacate as prescribed by law and approved by management.
Maintains a neat, clean, safe and secure facility which may include minor maintenance and daily lock checks.  Notifies their direct District Manager of all maintenance items that require attention in a timely manner.
Effectively communicates with management and fellow employees. All Managers will reports directly to District Manager.
Work Skills:
Basic computer operation in windows including experience using a self storage software application. Understanding of an automated gate system.
Experience:
Prior self storage experience preferred. Office skills, communication, familiar with office machines. Sales skills preferred. Cash handling and telephone skills.
Qualifications:
Good organizational skills and basic bookkeeping. Basic knowledge of self storage industry law. Successful record of accomplishment of sales and marketing skills in the self storage industry. Type a minimum of 35 wpm. General office machines. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Employment is also subject to the satisfactory results of a background check.
Education: Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands: Seating for approximately six hours per day, light lifting
Work Environment: Professional, business setting
