In 2007, with over 40 years of direct experience in the refuse industry, the DaDee Manufacturing team went to the operators, and mechanics responsible for driving and maintaining refuse trucks. We asked for their input.

With other various competitors, new products were mimicked from pre-existing designs, trying to improve quality. The DaDee Manufacturing team wanted a truck that excels in all aspects. The SCORPION Automated Side Loader came into production in 2008. The design has proven to be a massive success with an effective self-cleaning packer mechanism, saving the driver time on route, and at the landfill which has been a proven safety feature drastically reducing injury.

With the success of the SCORPION Automated Side Loader, the MANTIS Automated Front Loader was introduced in 2011. The MANTIS front loader features an industry first, no cleanout blade with the operator able to be inside the cab while at the landfill. The operator not only saves a vast amount of time, but also reduces injury by a large margin. A truck full of ambitious features, the MANTIS Automated Front Loader is the face of future front load applications.
