Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the operations of the warehouse/Cold Storage. Responsible to further develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures. The manager will identify, plan and implement strategies to continually improve operational efficiency and productivity of the warehouse team.
Essential Functions
*Oversee the warehouse team's workload
*Oversees forklift safety and follow protocol to ensure both employee and visitor safety
*Manage OT through scheduling and ensures that reasons are known and reported accordingly
*Provides direction and guidance regarding policies, procedures, workflow, claims and training needs with staff
*Train and mentor employees; delegate and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; and resolve employee issues
*Coordinates all staffing, allowing for appropriate coverage in the absence of warehouse personnel; including changes needed to meet the needs of the business
*Develop and submit adequate plans for daily and long term operations, budget spending, labor efficiency, and material efficiency and implements approved plans
*Manage the layout and set-up of the warehouse for the appropriate storage of product for elimination of cross contamination of product and for an efficient layout of the warehouse
*Manage and check all inventory records and cycle counts, making evaluations reports
*Maintain safe and efficient warehouse conditions
*Ensures self and all staff are adequately cross trained to allow continuous business flow within warehouse

• High School Diploma with some college credits or Work experience can be used in lieu of education

• Warehouse: 2 years
• Warehouse Management: 1 years
