Pine Rest is one of the largest free-standing behavioral health providers in the U.S. A nonprofit organization founded in 1910, its comprehensive behavioral health center is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has a network of 19 outpatient offices in Michigan and Iowa, providing individualized and group therapy for people of all ages and all levels of need. The staff includes over 70 psychiatrists and doctors, 123 psychologists, 238 licensed masters-level social workers, 34 physician assistants and nurse practitioners, plus 12 chaplains. Pine Rest is a partner in a joint operating agreement with Saint Mary’s Health Care (Grand Rapids) and Metro Health (Grand Rapids). Pine Rest is also a member of the Spectrum Health Regional Network. Care is available for a wide array of mental health conditions including stress, depression, ADHD, addictions, substance abuse, and senior care services. Depending on the severity of needs, Pine Rest offers inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, outpatient counseling (through our clinic network), residential services, and consultation liaison—psychiatry and psychology. We also offer specialty services such as an Employee Assistance Program, community outreach programs, a speakers bureau, support groups and our Clinical Pastoral Education program. The Postma Center on Pine Rest's main campus is available for business meetings, weddings and other events. The facility is alcohol and smoke free.
