Holy Spirit Catholic School seeks a person to fill its new position of Food Service Director.
Job Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing/directing food service operations for Holy Spirit School (K-8).
General Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and train Food Service Support Staff in their daily functions. This includes managing the performance of the staff, scheduling hours accordingly, and conducting performance reviews.
2.  Ensure processes are followed to receive maximum reimbursement from DPI.
3.  Lead, coordinate and assist with daily cooking, preparation, serving, and clean up.
4. Recruit and schedule volunteers (ensuring that all volunteers are Virtus trained (a requirement for employees in the Diocese of Green Bay).
5. Maintain knowledge of Hazard Analysis Control Points (HACCP), food safety and sanitation principles
6. Record food and equipment temperatures and complete production reports daily.
7.  Ensure all meals served meet current nutritional standards and DPI meal pattern requirements.
8. Apply management principles to establish and maintain high standards of control for quality food production and distribution.
9. Order/shop for weekly supplies and food needed as well.
10.  Maintain working knowledge of facility security policies and procedures.
11.  Participate in designing a proactive and engaging food service program.
12. Recommend measures to improve methods, performance and quality of product or service, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Qualifications:
1.High School diploma or equivalent required.

1. Must present professional image.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills
3. Good organizational skills. Ability to be flexible and change priorities as needed.
4. Proficiency with hardware/software relevant to job requirements.
5. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
6. Good visual acuity to view computer monitor and paperwork.
7. Create an engaging lunch environment.

Essential Job Requirements:

1. Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs (i.e., boxes of food, trays, etc…)
2. Ability to be mobile up to 4 hours per day.
3. Ability to perform simple grasping, pushing, and pulling (i.e., cutting, mixing, etc…)movements/skills.
4. Ability to perform job functions during occasional periods of stooping, bending, reaching, and squatting .
5. Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for long periods of time.
6. Ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures
