Holy Spirit Catholic School seeks a person to fill its new position of Food Service Director. Job Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing/directing food service operations for Holy Spirit School (K-8).
General Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train Food Service Support Staff in their daily functions. This includes managing the performance of the staff, scheduling hours accordingly, and conducting performance reviews.
- Ensure processes are followed to receive maximum reimbursement from DPI.
- Lead, coordinate and assist with daily cooking, preparation, serving, and clean up.
- Recruit and schedule volunteers (ensuring that all volunteers are Virtus trained (a requirement for employees in the Diocese of Green Bay).
- Maintain knowledge of Hazard Analysis Control Points (HACCP), food safety and sanitation principles
- Record food and equipment temperatures and complete production reports daily.
- Ensure all meals served meet current nutritional standards and DPI meal pattern requirements.
- Apply management principles to establish and maintain high standards of control for quality food production and distribution.
- Order/shop for weekly supplies and food needed as well.
- Maintain working knowledge of facility security policies and procedures.
- Participate in designing a proactive and engaging food service program.
- Recommend measures to improve methods, performance and quality of product or service, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Qualifications:1.High School diploma or equivalent required

- Good organizational skills. Ability to be flexible and change priorities as needed.
- Proficiency with hardware/software relevant to job requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
- Good visual acuity to view computer monitor and paperwork.
- Create an engaging lunch environment.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs (i.e., boxes of food, trays, etc…)
- Ability to be mobile up to 4 hours per day.
- Ability to perform simple grasping, pushing, and pulling (i.e., cutting, mixing, etc…)movements/skills.
- Ability to perform job functions during occasional periods of stooping, bending, reaching, and squatting .
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for long periods of time.
- Ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures
