The Federation of State Medical Boards is a national healthcare organization focused on building tools and services for physicians and state medical boards. FSMB’s cloud based solutions are used by physicians throughout the country to register for licensing examinations, building credential portfolios and applying for licensure. FSMB’s tools for data exchange and generating physician profiles are also used nationally by medical boards and health care organizations.
FSMB represents the 70 state medical and osteopathic regulatory boards -- commonly referred to as state medical boards -- within the United States, its territories and the District of Columbia. It supports its member boards as they fulfill their mandate of protecting the public’s health, safety and welfare through the proper licensing, disciplining, and regulation of physicians and, in most jurisdictions, other health care professionals.
