Eco Recovery Solutions (ERS) was created in early 2014 as a North American-based joint venture between Inashco and Wheelabrator Technologies. We are dedicated to recycling metals—copper, zinc, lead and aluminum—from the ash created in the waste-to-energy process. We use Inashco’s patented and proprietary Advanced Dry Recovery (ADR) technology, which has a unique ability to process fresh ash; that means we can recover the metals before they begin to rust and lose value. The recovery of the metals from the ash also improves the quality of the remaining mineral content, which can then be reused as a “green” construction material. Ultimately, our plan is to develop aggregate reuse opportunities with the improved ash residue downstream of the ADR process, to create a circular economic solution for ash management.
