~~Assist all unemployed/under-employed veterans with securing and maintaining meaningful employment, with an emphasis on post 9/11 Veterans (The Call of Duty Endowment’s emphasis.)
◦Assist them in their job search by working on: résumés, mock interviews, skills assessment, educational options and any other resources that will help with finding employment
◦Responsible to maintain a wide variety of relationships with employers and other community employment services providers to ensure his/her ability to meet the Veteran’s employment needs throughout the process of job search through placement and on-going employment
◦Master both the AMVETS and OSDTN internet based reporting system; all Veteran and employer data must be tracked
◦Maintains and completes needed documentation for the AMVETS and OSDTN data bases
◦Participate in bi-weekly conference calls, along with the AMVETS Career Center Team Leaders, led by the National Career Center Director for the purpose of sharing Best Practices
◦Attend regional job fairs to help promote the AMVETS Career Center Program to Veterans and employers
◦Research educational and general resources that will help Veterans find employment
◦Travel to participate in training sessions and other events as needed
