Selby Transportation is a FEDEX Home Delivery contractor and is looking to hire 10-15 seasonal drivers, with the opportunity to stay on after the holidays.
FedEx Home Delivery contractors are expanding and looking to provide outstanding delivery service for our peak season, to the Brentwood, and Nashville areas. We are now accepting applications for full-time and part-time drivers.
Salary will be paid weekly on Fridays. Successful full-time applicants will work Tuesday-Saturday; part-time applicants should be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Drivers arrive at 7am. Trucks dispatch around 9:30 am, hours vary depending on delivery stops and location. This is a physical job and requires that the employee get in and out of the truck upwards of 100 times in a shift.
SIGNING BONUS PAID. FIRST RAISE WITHIN 90 DAYS, SECOND AFTER 6 MONTHS.
To qualify, successful applicants MUST meet ALL of the following criteria:
Have 12 months of commercial driving experience within the last 3 years in a cargo van or larger. Driving experience must be verifiable. NOTE: MILTARY DRIVING QUALIFIATIONS IS ACCEPTABLE.
Have a clean driving record (no more than two tickets within the last 3 years and no speeding tickets over 80 mph).
Have or be able to get an F endorsement on drivers license
No felony convictions or violent misdemeanors
Pass a drug test
Pass a background check
Pass a professional driving test
Be 21 years of age or older
Pass a DOT physical
Ability to move quickly and lift up to 75lbs
The ability to locate rural addresses using GPS and/or maps is a must and a good general knowledge of our service area is a PLUS. Must be able to learn and adhere to FedEx Home Delivery procedures with high expectations for SAFETY, ACCURACY, SERVICE and ATTENDANCE. Route Experience is preferred but not necessary. Please be absolutely positive that you meet EVERY qualification listed above. Minimum requirements are set by FedEx and are NOT negotiable .
