The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement. **We are hiring two positions: Investments Manager will manage a team of 7 Fiduciary Manager will manage a team of 5 Job Description This leader position will manage a team responsible for investment or administrative and fiduciary support of Wealth and Abbot Downing. The candidate will collaborate with business partners (Legal, Risk, IRM, Audit, Technology) and senior leadership across Private Wealth and Wealth Client Solutions to ensure the identification and management of items in alignment with all policies and procedures, rules set by senior leadership, and regulation. This leader will conduct gap analysis to determine needed monitoring routines, using their subject matter expertise to influence decisions. The Fiduciary Control team provides support for Wealth and Abbot Downing managed and non-managed accounts. The team will also identify and advise on potential fiduciary (and other) risks and may recommend changes and/or enhancements to improve efficiencies in control environment, policies, and procedures. In addition, they will assists in identifying and reporting of fiduciary risks and/or business unit specific risks (operational, compliance, strategic, etc). The Investment Control team provides investment risk support for the investment teams within Wealth and Abbot Downing. The group collaborates with and supports investment professionals across the country and provides a risk management framework for individual investments, client portfolios and Wealth/AD strategies. This position will identify and review portfolio risk metrics and ensure consistency with targeted risk levels, stated investment process (risk decomposition) and with client specific investment policy. In addition this position will review unique risk situations and make recommendations for mitigation of the overall portfolio risk. Major Responsibilities: • Perform custom gap analysis relating to fiduciary, operational, and administrative risk across Private Wealth, Wealth Client Solutions, and on behalf of risk management and senior leadership. • Collaborating with the team members, the data analytics team, technology, and key stakeholders to identify and build appropriate testing, monitoring activities and associated reporting • Development of results, trends, and issues identified, as appropriate, and escalating to leadership and/ or governance committees • Participate and assist in implementing and developing a solid risk framework at the business level and group level, focused on Wealth and Abbot Downing. • Communicate and work with all levels of individuals across the organization. • Balance strong, innovative problem solving skills with the practical ability to implement workable solutions to problems in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Specifically you will: • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them. • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 8+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 4+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both 3+ years of management experience Desired Qualifications Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Other Desired Qualifications Proven leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment Proven history of establishing end to end risk management solutions and controls aligned with business/customer processes Executive level presentation and influence skills Strong Analytical skills including strategically analyzing data, diagnosing opportunities, and providing interventions Working knowledge of the general fiduciary concepts (covering Common Law Principles, Reg. 9, statutory requirements, etc.) and uniqueness of various account types Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Ability to implement a solution and communicate, in clear business terms, the benefits of the proposed risk management approach Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions 5+ years of direct fiduciary or fiduciary investment experience.
