Our Rail & Transit team is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Bundle Task Manager to support a major transit project in the Greater Toronto Region. This position will manage various activities on the project including: Leading the team in the development and execution of the bundle agreement, in particular preparation of the Project Specific Output Specifications; assisting the team with development and coordination of relevant project schedules; Managing the team to ensure level of effort and work development is captured and managed within the limits of the task sheet; Supporting provincial agencies and the legal team (Norton Rose Fulbright) on an as needed basis to support the bundle project; Skills, Knowledge & Experience: This role will require you to have a good working knowledge of alternative finance procurement contracts and the contractual interfaces resulting from these types of procurements. The ability to read and understand contractual documents including, the project agreement, architectural and engineering drawings, processes and procedures are mandatory. Must possess sound judgement and well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. The position requires a good working knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and project management software. Excellent research and analytical skills are critical along with the ability to support a defendable oversight review process. The position requires a professional engineer with a minimum of 15 years’ experience with relevant design and construction of transit, commercial and municipal infrastructure experience. Management Skills The position requires an ability to prioritize, schedule, resource and coordinate complex tasks among the broader team. A key component of this is undertaking quality control of said tasks. Interpersonal Skills/Contacts To advance the required duties and responsibilities associated with this position, continual interaction with other team members is required which usually takes place with architects, engineers, planners, lawyers and project controls staff. This position requires frequent contact with the transit technical team and continual communication is required on a daily basis with specifically the working group chairs and project management discipline team. In addition, the position requires regular contact with project team, members from the legal team and provincial agencies. Other requirements: Must have or be able to develop a sound working knowledge of Metrolinx operations, policies and procedures applicable to the work performed.
