Enterprise Solutions Architecture (ESA) teams are the gatekeepers of the Wells Fargo Technology Platform, responsible for thought leadership, technology guidance, standards decisions, and governance of technology throughout the enterprise. As part of the transformative changes occurring at WFB, ESA is transforming its role to include a more active and extensive part in ensuring that the recommendations that are made are carried through to completion and have the continuous support of ESA throughout the project life cycle to ensure processes and operational capabilities receive proper architecture leadership. Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) currently supports technology application portfolio of around 6,000 applications with majority of applications written in Java and .NET. These 6000 applications are governed by enterprise capabilities such as strategy, risk, policy, compliance, architecture, SDLC and they have been managed across the lines of business respectively. They are enabled by Enterprise Technology Infrastructure that provides compute, storage, network and security services based on ITSM and ITIL respectively. EIT is going through a strategic technology transformation to simplify, streamline and enable technology of the future. This is an interdisciplinary effort that requires all stakeholders to partner seamlessly and drive the execution with efficient and effective use of process, practice and standards respectively. We are currently seeking to hire (2) Senior Architects; these roles will be responsible for defining and building reference architecture with reference implementation across the enterprise domains spanning business architecture, data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture, information security architecture respectively. These particular Senior Architect additions will better enable the team's effectiveness for the transformation of the enterprise from an EA perspective and will assist in achieving our overall team goals. This role will apply Secure SDLC (system development lifecycle) standards and enterprise IT standard tools to flesh out reference architecture and reference implementation for emerging or refactored capabilities. Starting with a few strategic capabilities this position will iteratively and incrementally refactor and elevate our lines of business practices into enterprise capabilities and enterprise services. This leadership role will flesh out the full stack architectural capabilities spanning the UX/UI capabilities, Services and API mapping to middleware, BPM and workflow capabilities, Cloud, data modeling and management and ultimately on the runtime platform. The above will be done in concert with the EA and IT4IT framework with a strong emphasis of Secure SDLC and applying this to enterprise team member's experience. The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: Partner with key stakeholders to flesh out the architectural approach collaboratively and then lead the solutioning with an Agile, hands-on engineering mindset with relentless focus on quality and timely delivery. Collaborate with other key Wells Fargo organizations to deliver standardized services from inception to retirement. As a leader, will influence from developer to senior leadership to establish, maintain and govern all architecture aspects relative to IT standards and data. Ensure that technology standards are always closely aligned to serve all of the enterprise needs. This accountability will ensure enhancement of our Risk & Regulatory practices and continuously assess technology standards and strategy to protect Wells Fargo's technology environment while also improving our efficiency and effectiveness to deliver Wells Fargo products to market faster and with fewer errors. Collaborate, interact, and lead both directly and indirectly at the CTO and Group Architect levels to ensure all standards, policy, control points and governance are well defined and measured for its success. Follow appropriate enterprise processes and governance where applicable (e.g. CREST, Architecture Alignment Assessments, Technology Adoption Processes, Standards, Enterprise Project Methodology) Develop solution architectures for the Service Management, Risk & Regulatory data applications owned by Enterprise Data & Analytics. Assess enterprise, line of business, and staff group architectures, strategies, roadmaps and designs for potential alignment opportunities. Practice a data-driven and KPI based approach to institutionalize continuous improvement of IT practices. Synthesize, document and present findings. Collaborate with divisions sponsoring initiatives to optimize investment decisions. Create and maintain the process and practices to develop reference architecture and reference implementation reliably and repeatedly. Develop the insights and intuition to identify duplicative and diverging practices across the enterprise and motivate the communities to converge and standardize. Contribute to the predictable and repeatable approach to problem solving while meeting the needs of risk and regulatory compliance. Influence the IT Service culture to embrace Secure SDLC practices and apply them to improve team member experiences. Required Qualifications 5+ years of middleware development experience 5+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience 5+ years of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience 10+ years of development experience with one or more of the following: Java, C++, C#, C, or .NET 5 + years of experience working with vendor software, technologies and tools that are enterprise solutions 5+ years of DevOps experience 2+ years of experience in planning and managing cloud application migration and large scale cloud platform deployment 3+ years of experience with logging, monitoring, and event detection on cloud or distributed platforms 2+ years of experience in microservices development 5+ years of experience with continuous integration tools such as Anthill or Jenkins 3+ years of solution architecture experience 3+ years of experience securing container solutions 10+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in systems, applications, or architecture Desired Qualifications Agile experience Financial services industry experience Ability to consult at the highest technical level on design: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management Knowledge and understanding of technology governance Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an entire line of business or infrastructure sub-domain Other Desired Qualifications 10+ years of systems design, software engineering/development, and deployment at the enterprise scale Knowledge of various integration frameworks including BPM, Workflow, Orchestration/Choreography 2+ years of experience using private / public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, PCF or GCP) Solid understanding of cloud platforms and emerging cloud disciplines (e.g. SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, cloud security, etc.).
