Under limited supervision, this position directs the City’s emergency management operations, coordinating with external agencies and volunteer groups. Responsible for the preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation of disasters and emergencies, following  FEMA guidelines , as well as building a more resilient community . Works with city departments and the community to train, guide, and coordinate efforts to prevent, protect,  mitigate,  respond to, and recover from potential hazards.
