Southern Company Operations Technician - Plant Franklin JOB SUMMARY An operations technician is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of the power plant on a 24/7 - 365 basis. Additional responsibilities will include monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing the plant's electrical and mechanical equipment, utilizing a computerized work order management system (Maximo) and other common programs as well as actively participating in the fleet-wide operation review boards as a system owner. JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills) Experience: Previous power plant experience is preferred. Combined Cycle Operations experience preferred. Electrical Troubleshooting experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment is required. Previous Operations Experience a plus....
