Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Department: UNC Health Johnston PCU Department includes 19 intermediate level of care beds. Our team provides high quality care to a variety of patients including but not limited to antiarrhythmic and vasoactive drips, continuous Bi-PAP, and many other treatment modalities. Patients admitted to the Progressive Care Unit are on a continuous cardiac monitor. Ratios for intermediate level of care are 4 patients to 1 nurse. UNC Johnston is a Stroke, Chest Pain and STEMI accredited facility.
