Peabody Essex Museum Peabody Essex Museum seeks volunteers to help maintain its Ropes Mansion Garden at 318 Essex Street in Salem, MA, as well as other properties on PEM's campus. The Ropes Mansion's Colonial Revival garden brims with plant life and activity all summer long. The garden has been in operation for over a century and welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Volunteers are needed from April through October to help with all aspects of gardening, including planting, pruning, weeding and general care and upkeep. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 4 hours per month for 3 months. Hours are flexible and half and full-day time slots are available.
