Conducts psychiatric evaluation/medical management and related therapeutic services. Aids in formulating diagnostic impressions based on DSM-V criteria in collaboration with the psychiatrist and other treatment members. May practice in the role of therapist, providing individual and/or group psychotherapy, as needed. Can write prescriptions for non-controlled substances. Will be in verbal and/or electronic contact with the supervisory psychiatrist. Attends meetings as required. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the consumers served. The individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the consumer population served.
