General Description Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all mechanical manufacturing operations in a small, agile, fast-paced defense production environment. Duties Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and precision measurement instruments and using that knowledge, layout piece parts for the welding process. Interprets drawings, specifications and all weld symbols used in the welding industry. Performs welding of metal objects using a Mig welder or Tig welder. Inspects complex welded assemblies to insure product meets both drawing requirements and specifications. Assists in the training and certification process for Welder II.
