Kaiser Permanente Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician is assigned full performance level duties to include decontamination, preparation, sterilization, maintenance and distribution of sterilized instruments and medical equipment. The position also includes management of sterile supplies, equipment knowledge, and maintenance of instrument repair process. Essential Responsibilities: Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments and equipment; assembles, wraps (as applicable) and sterilizes trays of instruments, scopes and other medical equipment. Monitors biological and chemical solutions to ensure consistency and quality decontamination of instruments, scopes and equipment.
