City of Greenville Job Summary Under general direction and in compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, operates on specialized electronic signal and test equipment. Assembles, installs, services, tests, repairs, troubleshoots and adjusts electrical and mechanical components of traffic signal and related equipment to include signal cabinets, conflict monitors, detectors, relays, and controllers. Performs yearly preventive maintenance of traffic signal cabinets, including making repairs in the field as necessary. Assembles, configures, and tests traffic signal cabinets in the shop for field installation. Performs corrective and/or preventive maintenance, diagnosis, modifications, installations, configurations, and inspections for wired and wireless communications systems, including radio and microwave broadband technology.
