This role includes completing Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) screenings within the jail setting and offering an introduction to the DSS program. Drawing from lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, the Peer Specialist engages individuals through individual and group sessions to foster hope, empowerment, and recovery.
