Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston Position Summary The Career Exploration Specialist plays a critical role in delivering high-impact programming that supports middle school members (ages 11–14) as they explore future career pathways, build foundational workforce skills, and prepare for Ready to Work (RTW) University. Working in collaboration with the RTW team and Club staff, the Specialist facilitates engaging curriculum, leads career and service-learning experiences, and ensures individualized member support. While reporting to the Executive Director of the RTW Academy, this position works closely with Club leadership for day-to-day supervision. Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston Along with Aquatics Director/Head Lifeguard, assist in maintaining a safe environment, in accordance with all safety standards. Enforce all pool rules and be familiar with all emergency procedures. Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities, including assistance with swim lessons for various age groups. Assist in the supervision and discipline of campers participating in programs and services within the program area as well as throughout the clubhouse as deemed appropriate. Participate in collaborative programs, events, and field trips with staff from other clubhouse groups, staff from other BGCB clubhouses and community organizations as appropriate.
