Southern Company Cathodic Protection Technician (Coastal Plants - Alabama & Mississippi) Southern Company Services, Technical Shared Services - Electrical Systems Group WORK LOCATION & TRAVEL This position will support our Alabama and Mississippi coastal region power generation plants so the successful candidate will need to reside within a reasonable commute distance to this area (Gulfport, MS to Mobile, AL). Our main reporting office is in Birmingham, AL, so after initial training, the Technician will support the Southern Company plants in the southeast area with a major focus for Alabama and Mississippi coastal region. This position will require frequent travel (approximately 75%) - primarily within the Alabama/Mississippi coast region. This work will require some overnight travel.
