University of Michigan Job Summary Gifts of Art at Michigan Medicine is seeking a half time (20 hrs/wk) Music (Arts) Practitioner to join our dynamic arts in healthcare team. Basic duties include playing appropriate live acoustic music at the bedside of patients, working with clinical staff to identify those patients who would benefit from a music visit. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of appropriate music for specific patient needs, and be familiar with issues of clinical deportment, palliative care, patient monitoring equipment, as well as medical, psychosocial, cultural, and ethical issues related to patient care in hospitals.
