City of Chesapeake Public Works Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector III to support the Engineering division. POSITION PURPOSE: Inspect construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards. Responsible for coordinating with contractors, reviewing plans, ensuring compliance, maintaining records, and responding to inquiries. Working within a general outline of work to be performed; Develops work methods and sequences under general supervision. TYPICAL TASKS INCLUDE: Reviews plans and progress of approved water, sewer, street, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and related construction projects. Provides an advanced inspection of the construction of various types of municipal projects for specification compliance.
