Job Summary We are seeking a research assistant to help implement a research study being conducted in Winter 2026 in local 9th grade health and college readiness classes. This study will examine the effectiveness of a health decisions curriculum designed for 9th grade students at Mott Middle College and the Genesee Early College program. The curriculum emphasizes scientific reasoning and informational text reading comprehension skills. The research assistant will be the head instructor of the curriculum, assist with data collection in the classroom, and assist with data analysis. The research assistant will work closely with Dr. Audrey Michal to implement the health decisions curriculum in local Flint schools, collect data in the classrooms (e.g., surveys, reading comprehension performance, and health decision performance), and analyze the collected data.
