WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Consultant Schedulerfor our Detroit, Michigan office. Duties and Responsibilities: *Assemble all documentation, including all development information, that was utilized in the preparation of the schedule *Analyze drawings, specifications and other documentation utilized to prepare the project schedule *Develop cost and resource load schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) of scheduling, utilizing the project’s system of choice, as required, throughout a project's phases *Develop resource needs and productivity - in coordination with cost estimate development *Develop and Maintain a Project Earned Value Management System (EVMS) database, to measure progress and calculate performance metrics, analyze and report variances to plan based on predetermined variance thresholds *Coordinate with lead project personnel and cost estimators for work restrictions, productivity etc *Analyze delays to current approved Schedule and recommend recovery plan to mitigate impacts *Provide technical and analytical expertise to project personnel and subordinates Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications: *10+ years’ experience *Demonstrated working knowledge of current industry CPM Scheduling software packages, such as Primavera P6 Professional and Microsoft Project *Proven experience in effectively reporting and communicating schedule variances and recommendations to wider project team *Experience in preparing high level project reports and documentation *Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) *High level of experience in schedule preparation, schedule integration, and schedule analysis *Able to travel as required for project work Preferred Qualifications *Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline *Project Management, schedule or cost management training or certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) or American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) or other relevant industry organization *Background knowledge of the civil engineering and construction industry *EVM analysis experience About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
