PROJECT OVERVIEW: The successful candidate will support our work with the Director, Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) Department; the Headquarters Marine Corps department charged with planning, directing, and coordinating all staff activities relating to C4 functions of the Marine Corps to include support to all Chief Information Officer activities. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze the current "as is" MCEN cloud security design and provide analysis with recommendations on the risk mitigation and cloud computing options for Application/Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Create gap analysis of MCEN cloud provider(s) security services through the review of Service Level Agreements (SLA) for services provided on the part of the cloud provider, with user communities, program managers, resource managers and data providers and provide mitigation recommendations Using data center assessment information, review and analyze for potential risk for isolation failure and provide options to mitigate risk Using data center assessment information, review and analyze for potential risk for compliance with current Federal, DOD, Department of Navy (DON) and USMC cloud computing security standards and provide options to mitigate risk Generate a report for each meeting attended related to cloud computing--highlighting open action items, new policy, key discussion points, and impact statements to current USMC policy and operational Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) Provide expert technical advice to support the development of draft, for Government approval, Marine Corps specific IT security policies and procedures in accordance with DOD and higher-level policy Assist the government in overseeing the implementation of policies, principles and standards, on cloud computing and insider threat security and risk mitigation Provide subject matter expertise to develop DoD CIO-compliant Secure Cloud Computing Architectures (SCCA) Define and assist in the implementation of appropriate policies for cloud security solutions Provide findings and recommendations to leadership in the following areas: NIST Policy, FEDRAMP and Cybersecurity Conduct security assessments to identify areas of risk and ensure any gaps are remediated Assess security architecture in the cloud in collaboration with network and cybersecurity teams Consult on, and provide requirements for critical projects and initiatives Raise the awareness level of cloud security across the enterprise Use security best practices to communicate in written format, information pertaining to security risk assessments, planning, policy reviews, gap analysis, status / progress reports and action plans REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Security Clearance: Secret Secret clearance required 15 years of Information Security/Cybersecurity experience within DoD BS/BA degree required Knowledgeable with enterprise cloud computing security policy Knowledgeable in cloud security solutions Solid knowledge of DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) Experience conducting assessments using the FEDRAMP guidelines Experience developing policy guidance and/or manual documentation Experience with advising leadership based on industry and government best practices with cloud cybersecurity Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and ability to use those to drive goals, plans, and implementation Ability to build and manage relationships across the enterprise Good oral and presentation skills to present options/opinions and communicate to senior leadership DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Active TS/SCI clearance Cybersecurity certifications such as AWS/Azure/Google Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, CCSP, or CCSK WORK LOCATION: Arlington, VA TRAVEL: 5% WBB is a technical and management consulting company that provides innovative products and services that solve government and commercial customer’s toughest problems.
