Works under the general direction of the Supervising Engineer, Maintenance or designee providing engineering support to the Maintenance Department through the completion of assigned roadway and facility related projects. Responsibilities: Inspect, coordinate, and verify activities of construction projects in the field performed by the Maintenance Department to assure compliance with the latest approved plans, shop drawings, and specifications for projects. Direct and manage the efforts of consulting engineers, contractors and architects, both for design and construction supervision in accordance with Authority Standards. Assist in the preparation of budgets, estimates, plans, specifications, is responsible for other administrative matters including the EOI/RFP process, consultant reviews and selections. Provide field assistance to Authority personnel working on our roadways or our roadways or as our facilities. Assist with review and development specifications as required. Complete other special assignments as instructed by his/her supervisor. Must be able to adjust shift to work night and overnight shifts to accommodate night-time operations. Must be available as an essential employee, able to respond to roadway emergencies, weather-related events, and/or any events which impact the Authority on a 24/7 basis. Must participate in On-Call Duty rotation. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, or requirements for the job.
