The Product Manager will work within the Test Prep & Certification department; this role will be focused on institutional offerings and integrations. The product manager will adapt the features of the self-study platform to better serve the needs of instructors teaching classes, while supporting the onboarding and sales teams in how to sell the courses and enroll students. The product manager will work closely with the other technical product managers and the globally distributed development team. Key Responsibilities: Determine platform requirements with knowledge of the market competition, customer feedback, and the expertise of our sales and onboarding teams. Study and assess competitive platforms and products and use the resulting knowledge to inform the product roadmap and to maintain a competitive edge. Understand, in detail, the available features in the main self-study platform in order to understand how they are used in an institutional setting and how, if necessary, to modify them for an institutional setting. Understand integration points for the platform and support integrations with 3 rd party systems. Be the subject-matter expert on the use of Canvas and other Learning Management Systems Work with designers, marketers, sales people, and the onboarding team to define new features and functionality. Work with developers to create those new features and then roll them out to the market. With the marketing team, create professional documentation to be delivered to instructors on how best to use our content and tools to teach their classes. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, as is the ability to travel occasionally. Skills required: 3+ years Agile digital product management Experience with Roadmap software, Agile frameworks, and lean product development. Is able to use technology to communicate efficiently and effectively (email, video-conferencing) Organizes and manages the work and resources of his/her business unit to optimize productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency Demonstrates ability to utilize knowledge of competitive market dynamics, emergent and disruptive technologies and unmet customer needs to develop digital product strategies which accelerate the growth, efficiency and competitiveness of the business or function Understands the role the business plays on the critical path for technology development, including prioritization, technology sponsorship, and governance, project management, product management, and product launch Ensures that digital product requirements are accurately communicated to technology development partners Demonstrated track record of developing digital project initiatives which improve revenue, profit growth or other efficiencies About us At Wiley, we help people and organizations develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
