T4 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 4 (T4) to Parsons as the prime contractor. This $1.3 billion+ contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this position you will plan and designfacilities to support the FAA's modernization effort of the National Airspace System and transition to transition to Next Generation Air Transportation System.In addition, you may assist in field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports. Responsibilities: Performs a variety of engineering duties and may be developing in a sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: geotechnical, municipal/urban, water resources, materials and/or coastal engineering Responsible for the development of engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys and designs. Under close supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, develops the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field. Provides support for other engineering activities as required. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) Some related work experience and/or internships preferred In addition, an Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred Requires basic process engineering knowledge, as well as a working knowledge ofAutoCAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering _ Ready for action?
