WSP is currently initiating a search for a Community and Public Involvement (CPI) Coordinator / Professional for our San Antonio, Texas office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute effective public outreach strategies for high profile transportation projects;
Develop public involvement plans including strategy, goals and tactics;
Take ownership of public involvement tasks and assigned projects;
Develop effective strategies to engage with and solicit feedback/input from the public;
Interact with the public utilizing a wide range of traditional and innovative communication methods;
Facilitate and organize events including open houses, workshops, public hearings, neighborhood meetings, ground breakings, ribbon cuttings, workshops, one-on-one meetings and other public events;
Performs other duties as assigned or required by WSP USA Inc. and our clients.

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Political Science, Planning, or related field.
5-7 Years of experience in public involvement, communications, marketing and/or public relations on behalf of public agencies or other clients;
Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills;
Ability to work beyond standard business hours;
Strong time management skills and high attention to detail;
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powe Point, including the ability to utilize and manage online public involvement tools and social media platforms;
Knowledge and experience implementing social media campaigns for clients;
Ability to work well with the public and interact effectively with all organizational levels, including agency staff, senior management, executive leadership, board members, community leaders, and city/county/state representatives; and,
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Transportation public involvement and/or communications work experience;
Graphic design skills, including experience in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; and,
Fluency in Spanish.
