We're looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to help us develop meticulous production and process solutions that serve our customers worldwide. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods
Studies and records time, motion, methods and speed involved in performance of production and other worker operations to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiencies
Institutes changes in the production processes
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
Performs engineering work related to planning, devising or adapting methods to improve manufacturing
Examines equipment, processes, operations and assembly to determine improvements
Responsible for implementing changes and monitoring operational standards
Propose estimates for staffing, production times, costs of necessary tooling and equipment
Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to solve production/ process design challenges
Conceive, design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives
Evaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to scheduling methods, performance metrics and financial standards
Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians
Utilize principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to streamline processes Identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in production
Research and test production/ process design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to formulate/support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
Develop and design robust manufacturing concepts to simplify/ improve manufacturing processes to ensure best practice, performing structural and thermal analyses of components and assemblies, building prototypes, evaluating performance, identifying issues, and make improvements
Create and maintain required manufacturing process documentation, including process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis and line balancing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and direction
Other Duties as Assigned
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
10+ years' experience in electro-mechanical industry or equivalent
Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing preferred
IPC-620, J-STD-001 and IPC-610 certification a plus
Strong knowledge of soldering techniques in accordance with J-STD-001: Space addendum a plus
Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
Must be able to communicate with all levels of frontline management
Ability to prioritize multiple projects
Proficient with MS Office suite, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
5S and LEAN manufacturing techniques

Normally works in an manufacturing/ warehouse setting with controlled temperature.
