We are seeking an Operational Risk Consultant to join our Front Line of Defense (FLOD) team and assist in the execution of the technology risk and control framework in support of the International Technology organization (in APAC, EMEA, Canada, Latin America, and India/Philippines regions). This position will engage with multiple risk and control stakeholders/lines of defense across technology and the enterprise to enable a strong risk management practices and capabilities. The environment continues to be one of heightened standards, raised risk consciousness and regulatory requirements. As the front line of defense, this role assures real risk reduction within the divisions, consistent with the Wells Fargo Vision & Values and risk appetite. This role will be responsible for the planning and execution of critical FLOD risk functions, in alignment with the Corporate Risk Model and Technology Control Model. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Establish strong partnership and collaboration with Wells Fargo Technology, aligned Risk Partners, Information Security, Second and Third Lines of defenses, to ensure adherence to Wells Fargo policy, Compliance and external regulation requirements. Help define and implement balanced and risk based standards and control requirements against business functionality needs. Identify opportunities for process and control improvements, educate and influence senior IT and business leadership for effective execution. Provide risk opinion, credible challenge, and recommendations through process and control assessment. Develop and implement metrics and reporting to provide concise international technology risk view in control environment health, timeliness and effectiveness of risk mitigation, and emerging risk. Provide risk opinion, credible challenge, and recommendations on program/project requirements against the proposed solutions to determine international technology risk levels, control weaknesses and to evaluate the risk of solutions not meeting requirements. Provide risk opinion, credible challenge on issue and corrective action mitigation/remediation plans and providing advice on mitigation effectiveness and alternative mitigation approaches as well as assisting, coaching, counseling and mentoring stakeholders. Attend required partnership meetings to ensure appropriate international technology risk management coverage. Work with stakeholders to ensure each has the tools, processes and expertise to effectively manage international technology risks, to promote "everyone is a risk manager" culture. Ensure that critical programs and projects remain aligned to the technology risk management strategy and functional framework. The successful candidate will have the ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions; while influencing decision-making process, Self-motivated, able to work independently with a proven ability to be adaptable to a dynamic work environment with multiple priorities and strict time-lines and set appropriate deliverable timelines and follow-through. Required Qualifications 3+ years of Technology Risk Management experience 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications Knowledge and understanding of technology risks related to business risks Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Other Desired Qualifications Broad and significant knowledge of technology with emphasis on development operations, SDLC, quality assurance, problem and incident management, configuration management, application infrastructure services (e.g. middleware), platform management, information security architecture, identity and access management, enterprise architecture, cloud, third party hosted solutions, application risk assessments, information management, enterprise data, CRM services, and books and records Issue Management experience is highly desired, experience using Wells Fargo SHRP system CISSP, CISA, CRISC or other information security or technology risk focused certification Demonstrated interaction with Senior Level technology leaders Proven ability and prior experience in generating a business value proposition and justification for risk consideration and input at new product & service inception Demonstrated "enabler" philosophical approach to risk management that "gets to yes" with real solutions that meet all stakeholder requirements Proven prior experience in comprehensive risk ownership and accountability for the risk profile positioning Experience with risk governance in Agile development environments 6 years of experience supporting SOX/SOC, Regulatory Exams (Domestic and International), Audits, and other technology control related assessments Experience in multiple areas of international regulatory compliance, including risks and issues related to international banking regulations and laws 4+ years project management experience with large scale technology projects including: business requirements, risk analysis, project planning, resource planning, risk/issue management, testing and implementation Experience with assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures, processes, and compliance and operational controls in a significantly large and complex organization Prior experience with tracking, monitoring and implementing corrective actions or information security exceptions for Compliance/Operational Risk Knowledge and experience with technology-related regulatory requirements and frameworks including FFIEC, COBIT, COSO, NIST, ITIL.
