Job Title:                     Ground Men / CDL Driver Responsibilities: Drive vehicles and equipment to jobsite. Help set up the crane on job Operate all equipment including chainsaws, chipper, etc. following ANSI safety standards. Upon completion of job use blower to clean decks, sidewalks, yard furniture and driveway. Drag/carry limb debris of various size/weight and feed it into the chipper. Check air filter, clean and change as needed. Inspect chains, change or file depending on dullness. Inspect bar for lips, bow, pinch, dirt in tracks Ensure saws start and run properly. Make sure that chain brake functions properly. Unload yard tools, saws, put out road signs if applicable. Assist in distribution of plywood when required for job. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Good Driving record CDL Driver’s License

Job Title:                     Climber Basic Function:           Use chainsaws to fell trees using knowledge of tree characteristics and cutting techniques to control direction of fall and minimize tree damage.  Cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs. Top trees and prune trees using handsaws, pruning hooks, sheers, and clippers. Responsibilities: Assist crane operator and boom operator in identifying trees to be removed or trimmed. Access what chokers and shackles will be needed for job. Climb trees, using climbing gear and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas. Efficient in free climbing and in the use of proper pruning techniques. Cut away dead and excess branches from trees, or clear branches around power lines, using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck booms, and/or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers. Appraise trees for certain characteristics, such as twist, rot, and heavy limb growth, and gauge amount and direction of lean, in order to determine how to control the direction of a tree's fall with the least damage. Control the direction of a tree's fall by scoring cutting lines, sawing undercuts along scored lines with chainsaws, knocking slabs from cuts with single-bit axes, and driving wedges. Determine position, direction, and depth of cuts to be made, and placement of wedges or jacks. Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment. Operate shredding and chipping equipment, and feed limbs and brush into the machines. Check all climbing gear, ropes and accessories. Check saw for adequate fuel, oil, chain tension and blade sharpness. Upon completion of job, situate weights, breakdown crane and clean up job site.   DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2-3 years experience in climbing and using chain saws. CDL Driver’s license preferred
