SHIFT TECHNICIAN

Job Title: 3rd Shift Technician
Department: Laser
Reports to: Production Manager
Overall Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain all production equipment in Laser Production Room. Create and maintain files and drawings needed for Laser Production. Work with Supervisor to keep production running.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all production equipment in Laser Room including: Lasers, Ink machines, bag sealers, and conveyors.
Assist and maintain marking books and sku’s using Allflex’s custom Software.
Create and maintain all Laser marking files, and Ink marking files, and keep all files running as efficiently as possible.
Interaction Between: Material Handlers, QC Inspectors, Laser Operators, Customer Service, Machine manufacturer or Manufacturer Technical Support, and Parts Suppliers
Qualifications:
Associates in Laser Electro-Optics Technology, Associate in Electronics/Mechanics or 5+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of/experience with YAG lasers
PLC experience a plus
Ability to identify and troubleshoot current or future equipment issues
Able to work well in a fast paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
Must be task driven and preventive maintenance focused
Must be willing to accept responsibility for assigned project
Must have at least intermediate PC Skills (Windows, excel, access, networking)
Proficient in reading and understanding the English language
Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs
