WSP is currently initiating a search for an Entry Level Inspecctor for our Wethersfield, CT field office for the Charter Oak Bridge construction project. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with the contract documents. Responsible for ensuring daily contract compliance to project plans and specifications on construction projects and maintaining documentation to support quality specifications, payment and project acceptance. Read, understand, and interpret project plans and contract documents. Identify possible problems in contract documents and propose solutions or refer them to the Resident Engineer or Chief Inspector as appropriate. Confirm all work is associated with pay items. S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management or NICET 2 required. MS Office skills (Word, Excel) required. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures This role is subject to a FRA mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request. Preferred Qualifications CTDOT Site Manager reporting system experience. Prior field construction inspection experience a plus. NETTCP certifications a plus.
