Provider Recruiter Regular Full-Time Houston, TX, US 18 days ago Requisition ID: 1608 General Job Summary: To develop, build and retain a network of qualified medical providers that will provide services to Veterans for Compensation & Pension (“C&P”) Medical Disability Examinations (“MDE”) based on our contractual obligation with the Department of Veteran Affairs (the “VA”). Essential Job Functions: 1) Make unscripted connection calls to independent medical providers for the purpose of recruiting them to VES’s nationwide network of providers; 2) Create and maintain a growing pipeline of providers candidates; 3) Support provider throughout onboarding process. 4) Document and maintain detailed notes for communication and exchanges with all potential and current providers; 5) Negotiate with potential providers, to include contracted pay rates for their exams; 6) Facilitate the completion of required documents in a timely manner; 7) Consistently meets daily, weekly, and monthly provider contact quotas; 8) Achieve superior level of productivity in a demanding and high energy environment; and 9) Communicate and maintain a professional working relationship with department and team members in a friendly, but focused, environment. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Assist other departments with contacting providers regarding rates, billing and other issues associated with the providers and/or their staff; 2) Work closely with the Scheduling Department to fill Open Service Requests (“OSRs”) in a timely manner; 3) Attend meetings as directed; 4) Work effectively within a team dynamic; 5) Adapt to new instructions, requests or procedures as provided; 6) Maintain a high sense of urgency at all times; 7) Maintain the confidentiality of Veteran’s and provider’s records; and 8) Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 1) Self-Motivated; 2) Self-Directed; 3) Strong ability for strategical thinking and planning; 4) High sense of urgency; 5) Strong ability to get results; 6) Advanced time management skills and detail-oriented; with strong ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision; 7) Advanced customer service and sales skills; 8) Advanced verbal and written communication skills, to include excellent grammar; 9) Advanced reading and comprehension abilities; 10) Advanced multi-tasking skills; 11) Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, 12) Proficient typing skills; and 13) Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, general internet research, and beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Working Conditions: 1) Casual office environment, with some exposure to mild noise from office equipment and moderate noise generated by staff members; and 2) Frequently utilizes phone, fax machine, computer, printer, and copy machines. Minimum Level of Preparation and Training: Some college required. Business or Marketing degree preferred.
