CVS Health Job Description The HR Business Partner provides Human Resources support at the multi-functional San Antonio, Texas Pharmacy Operation. This is an office based position in San Antonio TX only. This position serves as primary point of contact for functional leaders regarding people-related issues and plays a strategic role in partnering and supporting the Member Services, Clinical Operations and Ancillary Support Departments. The department make up includes approximately 700+ employees inclusive of permanent, contingent and work from home colleagues. This role would report to the Director of Human Resources within Member Services with a dotted line to the Clinical HR Director. Strategic HR Business Partner: This role will serve as the primary Strategic HR Business Partner focusing on the following: Performance & Talent Management processes; employee relations; change management; implementation of company-wide initiatives into aligned business unit. Provides counsel in support of building a single culture in a matrix environment and rapidly changing business. Partners closely with the other onsite HR Business Partners supporting other business lines to ensure site consistency and practices. Identifies issues and initiates resolutions in line with corporate policies and in support of business direction. Leads site management in execution of major HR initiatives and facilitates positive change management. In collaboration with business leaders and HR Business Partners, conducts sound and thorough investigations and participates in decision-making and issue resolution. Drives and executes best HR practices. Monitors, analyzes and reports relevant data to ensure consistent process improvement and positive change. Experience managing and building high performing teams. Identifies needs and initiates communication, ad-hoc training and interventions to address management and employment development and performance issues. Establishes and maintains business relationships with site functional leaders by gaining understanding of business objectives and providing sound HR counsel to support strong performance and productivity. HR Projects and Analysis: In conjunction with HR site responsibilities we are seeking a business partner with an emphasis on people related project leadership and analytic oversight. This role will play an integral part of the HRBP strategic team which will assist in consulting on insights analyzed from our people data to better build our strategic operations, reduce risk and establish a strong return on investment. This role will help design, develop and oversee analytical tools and resources along with project tracking on people related initiative. Responsibilities % Time 1. Create and recommend people strategy solutions- new approaches, programs and policies that positively affect selection and retention of high performance teams and enhance the level of partnership with line management. 20% 2. Partner with leaders and staffing team to select exempt and non-exempt employees; manage hiring process from start to finish including requisition posting and offers, coordinate and manage recruitment events, track attrition, conduct new-hire orientation and onboarding; 20% 3. Assist in development, implementation and interpretation of employee policies and procedures. Resolve employee-relations issues in partnership with the Advice and Counsel team & other areas as appropriate, assist in creating of corrective action documents and recommend appropriate discipline; keep abreast of employment laws and legal trends; work effectively with Sr. leadership and legal counsel, as necessary relating to employment law matters. 20% 4. Projects and Analytical work as assigned. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels and prepare effective written documents 20% 5. Partner with compensation team to recommend total compensation solutions for functional area; assist in conducting annual salary surveys and compiling information for salary administration process; assist with semi-annual bonus planning for non-exempt colleagues, create reports presenting results of analysis; administer approved compensation structure and plans. 10% 6. Manage yearly initiatives such as employee engagement survey, open enrollment and well rewards programs; coordinate with leadership as well as outside vendors to coordinate onsite events such as benefit fairs, onsite screening events and other events as necessary; own communication to colleagues regarding any such initiative and provide onsite support 5% Required Qualifications * HR Business Partner will have at least 6+ years professional HR experience * Proven capability to work with people at all levels of an organization * Ability to meet deadlines and multiple competing priorities * Knowledge of all areas of HR functions including employment law, change management, recruitment, retention and performance and talent management * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Must be able to work effectively in a team Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree, Human Resources or equivalent PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certifications Education Bachelor's Degree Required Business Overview It's a new day in health care.
