The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Corporate Risk - Regulatory Control Team is a front-line function, a new organization bringing together four key risk types to accomplish this critical work: Regulatory Control, Financial Crimes, Fraud, and Conduct. Members of the Corporate Risk - Regulatory Control team are expected to promote strong coordination across Corporate Risk, working with business lines and stakeholders with focus on the four risks highlighted above. The Role This is a newly created position within the Regulatory Control team and will be reporting to the Regulatory Control leader supporting Regulatory Control, Financial Crimes, Fraud and Conduct Risk . The candidate, Business Risk and Control Senior Associate , will work within a team of SMEs supporting the risk discipline primarily in Fraud, in addition to Financial Crimes and Conduct. This position is responsible for partnering with stakeholders within the Corporate Risk Control Executive team along with Corporate Risk business lines to implement the requirements of revised or newly published policies, procedures and guidance. Consults and provides support in the interpretation of policy, guidelines, and governance programs as the front line liaison to Independent Risk Management area for enterprise risk programs. Provides risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements. Develops and implements risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls. Monitors and reports on its risk concentration, current and emerging risk, and risk appetite. Aggregates, evaluates, reports results and escalates where necessary. A successful candidate for this position will have deep knowledge of Fraud risk principles and framework; have prior experience working within multiple risk types; and strong operational and regulatory acumen. This front line role provides support, leadership and subject matter expertise for the Fraud program and possible support to other policy programs. The BRC Senior Associate will support risk SMEs including assisting the Control Executive Team with metrics and reporting to track the state of compliance for the applicable Corporate Risk businesses. The BRC Senior Associate will assist in the oversight of the Corporate Risk Fraud Program, in addition this position will support the team with regulatory compliance and risk monitoring activities, such as Risk Appetite, Issues Management, Enterprise Risk Identification and Key Risk Indicator metric analysis and regulatory reporting. Experience in data analysis and designing data analytic processes preferred. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management Desired Qualifications Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas Risk management experience Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications Ability to work effectively in a team environment Knowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management Solid negotiation skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue management Experience with risk assessment methodology Other Desired Qualifications Demonstrated experience interpreting complex regulatory and or policy requirements impacting a diverse group of business lines Demonstrated success with collaborating with business units to identify, formulate and implement processes/procedures to mitigate risk Demonstrated experience with both strategic and tactical approaches to risk management Demonstrated experience working with other regulatory and non-regulatory risk types Certification Preferred: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and/or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
