The Assistant County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) serves as a resource to veterans and their dependents, by filing of claims for insurance, pensions, compensation for disability, hospitalization, vocational training, education loans, readjustment allowances, or any other benefit for which they are entitled to receive.  They serve as an advocate for the client in attempting to maximize the amount of federal and state veteran's benefits received.
