Battery Assembly Engineer / Pilot Line Manager
This position will be the co-leader of an assembly area and operation for a new class of lead-based batteries, called Silicon Joule.
The employee will work directly for Gridtential Energy, but report to work each day in the East Penn Manufacturing R&D Innovation Center.
KEY TASKS:
Management of a small scale assembly operation with 10-20 process steps.
Lead projects and tasks associated with an assembly line for innovative lead-based battery systems.
Lead implementation of production equipment, tooling and instrumentation related to assembly and testing of innovative lead-based battery systems.
Lead the mechanical assembly and electrical testing processes through observation, fact finding, communication of results, and recommend improvements.
Working with small scale adhesive, welding, pneumatic pressing, laser welding, battery charging, battery cycling and battery testing systems.
