Home Lending Conduct Oversight team is part of the Conduct Risk Control organization within the Consumer Control organization focused on enabling our Home Lending business partner risk and control owners achieve their strategic objectives, balanced with disciplined, sound risk management. Home Lending Conduct Oversight is responsible for the intake and research of internal allegations of team member misconduct to determine the validity of the claim. Home Lending Conduct Oversight is also responsible for identifying trends and control weaknesses, working with Compliance Risk, Operational Risk and business partners to create and improve control environments. Responsible for implementing and monitoring a risk-based program to identify and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events or may provide oversight of an operational risk program Participates in and provides consulting and support for projects and initiatives with moderate risk to identify and mitigate operational risk in business activities May provide technical support for systems security-related issues Implements testing strategies and methodologies; evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; identifies operational risk issues; advises management on risk ratings and evaluates ratings against established policy standards May assist in drafting corrective action plans and in managing change Identifies training opportunities; may provide input to the development of training materials and delivers training Drafts reports of findings and recommendations to mitigate risk for operational risk management Coordinates production of periodic operational risk performance reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommendations Specifically, the ORC2 position will support the Home Lending Conduct Oversight Team (HLCOT) for the Wells Fargo Home Lending business line by conducting research into allegations of internal team member misconduct and proactively monitor activity to identify situations of potential internal team member misconduct. HLCOT Consultants use knowledge and experience to properly identify misconduct situations that indicate a reputational, financial, or legal risk while identifying potential customer impact, as well as identifying, investigating, tracking, and reporting on regulatory violations, RESPA Section 8, or other CFPB repercussions. Research may include working with Line of Business, Front Line Control, and Compliance partners to gather additional information, evaluating that information to understand if it is reasonable and acceptable. May escalate findings to appropriate business partners including Employee Relations, Ad Investigations, Event Registration, Information Security, Fraud Risk Management, and/or Internal Investigations. Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: additional compliance, additional operational risk management, IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field Desired Qualifications Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Other Desired Qualifications 2+ years experience in mortgage originations, with strong knowledge of the origination, processing, underwriting, and closing processes Thorough knowledge and understanding of mortgage regulatory compliance Experience with Wells Fargo retail systems such as CORE, COMPASS, NICE, etc. Experience with Wells Fargo mortgage servicing systems such as: Fidelity MSP/CPI, ER, Desktop, EDGE, KM, GEM, Web Query, EDMIAM Workflow, etc. Experience with Wells Fargo systems such as HOGAN, MARS, OIB, etc. Ability to organize and present analysis in a holistic manner for management decisions Ability to make logical, independent decisions with limited supervision Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities Ability to meet stringent deadlines Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Current or Prior experience within Wells Fargo Prior experience in Wells Fargo mortgage servicing Street Address MN-Saint Louis Park: 300 Highway 169 S - Saint Louis Park, MN Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
