Network Administrator Featured
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the management/ maintenance/ upkeep and connectivity of wired and wireless networks supporting CNIC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Job duties include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) • Provide the day to day management of active networks. • Must be willing to provide on call coverage beyond normal working hours. This is not limited to nights, weekends and holidays. • Must ensure all computers used for network monitoring and configuration receive most current patches and software upgrades. • Configure network components in accordance with accepted internal and industry standards. • Verify operation of configured items. • Establishes the alarm thresholds, method of notification and any other parameters deemed appropriate for network monitoring. • Must be able to develop and document processes for monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration of networks and network devices. • De-install or reinstall hardware and perform preventative maintenance on hardware • Work with base N6 managers to support the program along with Tier III engineers. • Maintain base access and credentials for accessing sensitive locations. • Provide reporting on ticketing, status and inventory as requested. • Forecasting maintenance and working with N6 and CNIC Clients to minimize system outages and downtime. • Travel required to accomplish all duties and responsibilities. Job Requirements Education and Experience : CompTIA Security+ Network experience – Must possess current experience managing an IP network Industry standard network Certification. Juniper certification preferred CompTIA Net+ Experience with network monitoring software Experience with hardware installations Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
