As a member of the Lawrence Terminal Team you will have the opportunity to assist in providing general facilities maintenance throughout our high volume gas terminal  while gaining a comprehensive understanding of our operations division . Major Duties/Responsibilities: As an Operations Intern you will provide general facilities maintenance throughout our high volume gas terminal. You will acquire a comprehensive understanding of our operations division by spending one day per week rotating through the various components of operations. Shadow a Terminal Operator and learn how to dock and unload a 100,000 barrel gasoline boat, follow an operator through a tank farm and observe the process for blending products. Spend a day with our onsite Laboratory Technician where we analyze our product and learn to run a full slate of test specifications. Travel to a customer site with a Delivery Integrity Technician and watch a trans to monitor, observe how our product reaches the customer, understand first hand what is involved in a customer site assessment.  Spend a day with one of our Service Technicians to see first-hand what the Service Group does to keep our customers equipment in optimal condition. Requirements: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary school pursuing either an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Interest in a career in the maritime industry preferred Must be at least 18 years old Physical Demands: Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling Reaching, pulling, grasping and lifting Ability to work in all types of weather conditions. Job Summary / General Purpose: The Data Systems Manager is dedicated to systems and process efficiency to improve the Sprague experience. This position will work with the Data Systems Manager and other internal contacts to improve computer systems, procedures, and design solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively. In addition, this position will assist with documentation of systems, up-to-date procedures, and workflows. Major Duties / Responsibilities: In order to better understand our current processes, the Data Systems Intern will job shadow among the Customer Service team and with Data Systems Manager to help identify opportunities for greater efficiency. To attain better system visibility and a broad understanding of the complexity of our data integrations and flow, the person in this role will create external representation of our data relationships within our systems, including but not limited to: Spreadsheets (Excel) showing data field names and API names for each system, and the relationship among systems. Note systems of record. Flow charts (Visio) showing data field relationships and workflows for Customer One Customer Creation, Carrier Relations from Salesforce to G3 and to Top Tech, and PIN/Lifting Number Relations among Business Associates in Solarc to Guardian to Salesforce. Job Summary / General Purpose: The Marketing Research Intern will work with the Marketing Research Manager who supports Marketing, Sales, and Human Resources with primary and secondary research and data analysis.  This position will collaborate with internal clients to understand their information and decision support needs, and design and execute the appropriate research to meet those needs. Major Duties / Responsibilities: Participate in informal training for Qualtrics online survey platform, TIBCO Spotfire business intelligence tool, and Salesforce reporting.  Self-motivate to practice with those tools and apply them in ways useful to the business throughout the internship, including converting existing Excel analyses to the business intelligence environment. Update an annual market sizing and Sprague market share analysis for refined petroleum products and natural gas, using internal sales data and energy consumption data from the Energy Information Administration. Generate, enhance and score sales lead lists on an as-needed basis, drawing and merging data from a variety of sources. Work with the Marketing Research Manager on refined products and natural gas customer satisfaction surveys, including sample list development, questionnaire design and testing, distribution of survey invitation and reminder emails, data analysis and reporting. Using Salesforce data and working with the Marketing Supervisor, create new reports to meet business needs in the TIBCO Spotfire environment.
