The Bus Risk & Control Senior Associate within the WIM Control function in Wells Fargo Advisors (WFA) will be a member of the WFA Control Operational Risk - Business Continuity Planning team. This position will be responsible for participation in several risk based programs to identify, mitigate and control operational risk. The successful applicant will be expected to build strong and collaborative relationships with partners across WFA and the enterprise, develop and demonstrate an understanding of the risk management framework for WFA, while, at the same time maintaining intellectual curiosity, providing credible challenge, and delivering sound advice and counsel on applicable internal policy and program requirements and local, state and federal regulations. This Senior Associate will play a significant role in executing and administering the Enterprise Business Continuity program for WFA, including but not limited to, leading Business Impact Analysis meetings, completing Risk Assessments, planning and documenting Exercises, and leading tabletop exercises with business leaders. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring departmental business continuity plans with a strict adherence to deadlines. The Risk & Control Senior Associate is a collaborative individual contributor role. The Associate will initiate action and manage multiple concurrent deliverables without sacrificing quality or deadlines. The person in this role will play a critical role in enhancing reporting for the line of business and coordinating with Enterprise Business Continuity Planning, Enterprise Incident Management, and other key WIM Control team members. Key responsibilities include: Develop, implement, and manage a program for coordinating WFA Business Continuity activities/exercises with all 3rd party vendors used by WFA business groups Serve as primary liaison with Brokerage Technology groups in coordinating assessment and business preparedness activities for enterprise technology exercises Serve as primary point of contact for offshore BCP plans, ensuring accuracy of plan content between EGS, and WFA business groups Collaborate with critical process owners to improve out of region coverage plans Provide subject matter expertise in line of business policies/procedures related to business continuity planning activities Maintain and enhance strong relationships with a variety of partner groups (e.g. EBCP, EIM, EIT, EIS, WIM Control teams, and WFA business leaders.) in support of BCP Serve as BCP subject matter expert for new business product capabilities (RANBI) Coordinate Resolution/Recovery Planning in cooperating with WFA leaders Lead and conduct Process Risk/Control assessments for offshore process activities Serve as the technical and operational support lead for the dedicated relocation space at Missouri Research Park Organize and lead ad-hoc Risk efforts, including Vendor-focused Information Security tiger teams Organize and lead multiple business continuity-specific action plans to address control improvements for cyber-security, and 3rd party vendor coordination Coordinate WFA impact reporting to be sent to WIM leadership. This involves documenting impacts and response of severe weather, fire, earthquakes, security incidents, etc. Provide guidance and subject-matter expertise to stakeholders and ensure activities are in compliance with governing requirements Ensure Enterprise Business Continuity program requirements and deadlines are met and executed appropriately through communication with Business Continuity Administrators, Business Continuity Plan Owners, WIM BCP leadership, EIT and other partners across the firm and enterprise Monitor Business Continuity Plans in order to identify changes and trends, respond to credible challenges received ensuring completeness and attention to detail, escalate any concerns related to the program and tasks to management in a timely and clear manner Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management Desired Qualifications 6+ years of business continuity planning experience 6+ years of risk management and mitigation experience 6+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) Experience developing improvement processes and implementation strategies to support business continuity and contingency plans Experience managing Business Continuity Plan (BCP) documents Certified in Wells Fargo Business Continuity Plan Repository (ORS) and BCP Central Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Solid critical thinking skills Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Advanced Microsoft Office skills Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
