Job Scope The HR Manager - Portland Bakery will drive business strategies and values in conjunction with the HR strategies for the plant; developing strong employee and labor relations, ensuring consistency to the approach to talent resourcing, organizational design, talent management and performance management. This role also leads, manages and coordinates all Human Resources activities including benefits, leaves of absences, compensation, diversity, affirmative action, WC, employee assistance and labor law. Key Responsibilities Business Results - Partner with the management team to implement and drive change programs in support of business strategies and initiatives. Labor Management - Build and maintain strong labor relations with employees, union reps, and the business agent through a strong communication platform. Employee Relations - Provide coaching to the managers / employees as issues occur and investigate escalated issues. Organization Design and Development - Partner with the Plant Manager and leadership team to ensure that the organization is structured in a way that will enable them to meet or exceed business targets today and in the future. Talent Management - Ensure that Plant is attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing the right level of talent in a consistent manner which enables us to internally drive our future succession needs. Learning and Development - Identify areas of development for both functional areas, source or create supporting programs and build our leadership capabilities for the future. Partner with managers to create and implement solid employee development to grow the talent of the organization. Performance Management - Continuously educating our business partners on the importance of the Performance Management program including training, communications, participating in calibrations and driving the message of ongoing quality feedback. Process Improvement / change management - Develop, revise, implement and administer programs, policies, practices and procedures that improve business performance and also ensure compliance, consistency and equity. Employee Engagement - Working with plant leadership and line management, assess and develop and implement an engagement strategy (communication, recognition, employee involvement) Team Effectiveness - Provide coaching and facilitation to the leadership teams on how to drive effective teams New Hire Onboarding - Ensure all new hires are assimilated to Plant via extensive onboarding process Benefit/Payroll Administration - Oversee the administration of payroll, benefits programs such as disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Compensation -provide leadership and manage the compensation process for the Plant HR team development - provide leadership and development to the Plant HR team Additional duties/projects Take leadership role in Safety Develop and facilitate HR related training Facilitate Employee Satisfaction Survey Oversee Record Retention Coordinate management of compliance training Serve as sponsor in overseeing facility sponsored employee events Represent facility in various Community Service events Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate degree in HRM/Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field 7 or more years of job related HR experience with 4 or more years as an HR leader in manufacturing Strong Labor Relations experience Must be able to work with flexible schedules to accommodate plant needs Strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills required Up-to-date knowledge of human resources laws, practices, and policies required CPG experience preferred Other Qualifications Must be analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information Collects and researches data Uses intuition and experience to complement data Designs work flows and procedures Must have Visionary Leadership Displays passion and optimism Inspires respect and trust Mobilizes others to fulfill the vision Provides vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates Mondelēz Global LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
